Make a Difference 2024: Carer Award Winner
Maureen Graham, from Horndean, won the Carer Award in Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Solent's Make a Difference Awards for 2024.
The Make a Difference Awards are your chance to say thank you and recognise those who love to make life better for others.
Maureen has cared for four family members with Huntington's Disease. Firstly her husband, then her son and daughter who all sadly died of the disease. She now cares her grandson, who also has Huntington's.
Having been a founder member, Maureen is now social secretary to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Branch of the Huntington's Disease Association, helping other affected families make special memories and enjoy valuable peer support.
