What next for RAF Scampton?
Now that proposals to use RAF Scampton near Lincoln to house asylum seekers have been axed by the Labour government, what does the future hold for the former RAF station?
The site had previously been earmarked for a Β£300m redevelopment before it was selected by the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Office under the previous Conservative government as a location for an asylum centre.
Local politicians, residents and the group behind the plan to create a hub for technology and aviation hope that that will now go ahead.
