Why we risked our lives to come to Hull
Omed had a family farm in Afghanistan but his cousins who were working with the Taliban took it and attacked him. He showed his scars to our reporter Amanda White. He says if he'd stayed in Afghanistan he would definitely be dead and although travelling in a small overcrowded boat could have killed him, his pregnant wife and their son, it was a better chance than they had at home.
