Askham-in-Furness: The tug of history
Davy Keenan lives on a tug boat that saw action during D-Day. Built in a week 1943 by women as one of 200 towing inshore defence vessels. The tug might be old enough for a pension and a bus pass, but its kept Davy safe in a force 10 gale. Jennie Dennett went to see him, and the boat he's taken to his heart.
