Whitehaven harbour sound installation
Turner Prize winning artist Susan Philipsz brings sounds of the Caribbean to the harbour, in a specially commissioned sound installation. Susan has recorded the haunting sound of two conch shells, and they're relayed through loud speakers installed in the North and West lighthouses. You can hear them in your own shell like ear on the hour everyday between 10am and 5pm.
