30. May - The Positive Power of Gardening

Your weekly seasonal guide to a successful allotment.

Down to earth gardening advice on growing your own fruit and vegetables with allotment gardener Terry Walton, from his plot in the Rhondda Valley.
In the greenhouse, the tomatoes are starting to show the early signs of flowering, and it's time to sow more radishes and spring onions as the previous crop are almost ready to harvest. Terry has given up on growing celery but his celeriac plants are proving far more successful.
And it's time to plan ahead for autumn flowers as the young chrysanthemum plants are ready to go out onto the plot now that the temperatures are rising and the days are getting longer.

To help you plan your own sowing and harvesting, download your crop calendar, just search for Terry Walton's Plotcast and you'll see the link there.
