Going to the Olympics ‘proves I am worthy’
South Africa canoeist Esti Olivier discusses how her mental health was affected on the road to Paris qualification.
She missed out on qualification for the Tokyo Games, but has overcome depression, health issues and the impact of the Covid pandemic in the intervening years.
She told Sportshour’s Caroline Barker how she qualified for the Paris Olympic Games with just a little help from her dog, Sullivan.
