Sean Coughlan says there was a conversation among royal correspondents from various news organisations about whether there would be a royal birthday photograph to mark Prince Louis's sixth birthday. And a photograph might usually have been expected – aimed at royal fans and the newspaper front pages. But it’s tricky because could the palace put out such a publicity photo, while at the same time calling for privacy for Louis’s mother, Catherine, while she undergoes cancer treatment?
