Family run Appleby asphalt firm to M6 rescue
When the M6 was closed for 12 hours local asphalt specialists had it reopened in record time, much to the relief of motorists who'd faced traffic chaos, after a lorry covered the carriageway with mud and fuel. But resurfacing the road was a mammoth task, with 320 tons of material to shift, and enough asphalt to cover 3/4 the size of a football pitch.
