Ben Elton and Blackadder's Lincolnshire line
Comedian and writer Ben Elton's latest tour, 'Authentic Stupidity' is coming to Lincoln in November.
One of the leading lights of alternative comedy in the 1980s, he regularly performed stand-up routines on TV's Saturday Live as well as creating comedy icons such as The Young Ones and Blackadder.
In one episode of Blackadder The Third, Stephen Fry (as the Duke of Wellington) says King George 'believes himself to be a small village in Lincolnshire' - but did Ben write that line, and why Lincolnshire?
