How Kazuo Ishiguro's latest project was sparked by Desert Island Discs
Nobel Prize-winning author Kazuo Ishiguro tells Front Row about his latest project, writing song lyrics for jazz singer Stacey Kent.
The pair became friends and now collaborators after Ishiguro picked one of her tracks on Desert Island Discs 20 years ago.
They spoke to Shahidha Bari all about their new book of lyrics, The Summer We Crossed Europe in the Rain.
But it's not Ishiguro's first foray into songwriting - he also reveals how his teenage years strumming a guitar helped him hone his craft as a novelist. Catch up on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Sounds.
