Have you ever heard a Dulcimer before?
Dorchester's inaugural Dulcimer festival kicks off this weekend at Shire Hall cafΓ©. Dulcimers are a resonant string instrument, the hammered dulcimer being flat and played with small wooden mallets.
Festival organiser Damian Clarke joined Steve Harris in Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Dorchester studio to explain the nuances of the instrument and give a live performance on his hammered dulcimer.
