Barrow Lifeboat - a proud tradition of volunteering
Saving lives at sea since 1864. A team of twenty five volunteers crew the boat and 267 lives have been saved since the first launch. The new station on Roa Island opened in 2001, and a Tamar class all weather lifeboat and a D class inshore lifeboat are based there.
