What a Gaza ceasefire might look like

There have been talks in Paris on a possible agreement to pause the fighting. But what could a deal look like and how likely is it?

President Biden has said that a ceasefire deal in the Gaza war might be close. His remarks have raised hopes - and eyebrows - in the Middle East. The Israelis sounded surprised. Hamas said it had not seen the latest proposals. Qatar said there was nothing to announce. So what's going on? Are we getting close to an agreement that could - if only for a few weeks - stop the fighting, end the killing of Palestinians and free some of the remaining Israeli hostages?
