Who will win the Republican vote?

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Washington correspondent Gary O'Donoghue explains how Republicans vote for who they want to be their presidential candidate.

Elections can be a tricky business. Arguably, there are none quite as tricky as the race to become president of the United States. The incumbent president Joe Biden will be trying to secure his second term at the White House. But who will be his challenger?

Donald Trump remains the most popular candidate in Republican polls - despite facing criminal charges. He has been accused of illegally stashing secret documents, covering up payments to a porn star and attempting to overturn election results. He denies wrongdoing and says the charges are political. Even if he went to prison, he could still remain in the race for the White House.
