16. December on the Plot: Frost is our Friend
Down to earth advice on growing your own fruit and vegetables with gardener Terry Walton.
Down to earth gardening advice on growing your own fruit and vegetables with allotment gardener Terry Walton, from his plot in the Rhondda Valley.
On a rare dry day, Terry checks on the progress of the Christmas dinner vegetables still in the ground on his plot, including some pretty impressive swede, parsnips, leeks and brussels sprouts. After all the wet weather he welcomes the first frost of the winter and shares some of his traditional sowing jobs to get you in the greenhouse on Boxing Day.
Terry will be back with another update in January to help you plan ahead for another gardening year.
