Uganda's 'jubilation' after reaching T20 World Cup
Ugandaβs menβs cricket captain Brian Masaba has described the country reaching the ICC Menβs T20 World Cup for the first time as a βdream come true".
The team led by Masaba won five of their six qualifying games to secure a top-two finish in the Africa Region Qualifier and their spot at the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA.
Masaba tells Sport Todayβs Lee James how momentous this achievement is for the country, how playing against the best teams in the world will be the βstuff of dreamsβ and the impact he hopes it will have on Ugandan and African cricket.
Uganda, who are nicknamed the Cricket Cranes, will become the fifth different African nation to feature at the ICC Menβs T20 World Cup.
