The Crypto King who cost me millions

Sam Bankman-Fried promised what was meant to be a safe way for ordinary people to invest in cryptocurrencies. But then it all went wrong.

Sam Bankman-Fried was one of the youngest billionaires in the world. The fast talking, nerdy maths genius promised what was meant to be a safe way for ordinary people to invest in cryptocurrencies. At one point his company, FTX, had 9 million customers and was the second biggest crypto-exchange in the world. But then it all went wrong - and Sam Bankman-Fried is about to go on trial in the US accused of criminal fraud. Joe Tidy, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's cyber correspondent, hears from a British investor who lost all his money with FTX. And there's more on this story on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ iPlayer - in the Panorama documentary "Downfall of the Crypto King".
