India is on the MotoGP race calendar for the first time in the sport鈥檚 history, but what impact will the race have on the country?

Indian motorcycle racer Aishwarya Pissay is a multiple national champion who knows how it feels to have success on the international stage, becoming India鈥檚 first athlete to win a world title in a two-wheel motorsport.

Pissay tells Sport Today鈥檚 Ed Harry how the excitement and pride of hosting a race like this has created 鈥渉ope鈥� and she hopes the event will help make a career in motorsport seem more 鈥渁chievable鈥� for people in India, particularly women and girls.
