Cannabis - Prescription Pot Luck?

Cannabis-based medicines have been legal in the UK for five years -- so why are so few people getting them on the NHS?

Cannabis-based medicines have been legal in the UK for five years, after a high-profile campaign helped change the law. This gave hope to people with conditions such as Tourette's Syndrome and rare forms of epilepsy, but so far only a handful of patients have been prescribed medicinal cannabis on the NHS. Others are spending hundreds or even thousands of pounds on prescriptions from private clinics.
