Tower block tribute to Hull's 'Headscarf Revolutionaries'

Three blocks of flats on the Thornton Estate in Hull have been officially renamed after three of the city's "Headscarf Revolutionaries" Yvonne Blenkinsop, Mary Denness and Christine Jensen MBE. They join a fourth tower block already named after the safety campaign's leader Lilian Bilocca. The women marched on parliament in the wake of a series of trawler losses in Hull in the 1960s laying the foundation for improved health and safety legislation. Reporter Amanda White went along to the official unveiling ceremony for three plaques on the buildings and talked to Alison Taylor, daughter of Mary Denness and author Brian Lavery who wrote a book about the women.
