Can Zimbabwe鈥檚 elections bring any change?

In 2018, president Emmerson Mnangagwa narrowly beat Nelson Chamisa, receiving 50.8% of the vote. But Mr Chamisa disputed the outcome. Will this year鈥檚 election be different?

On Wednesday, millions of Zimbabweans are expected to vote in this year鈥檚 national election.

A total of eleven presidential candidates appear on the ballot paper.

But Emmerson Mnangagwa鈥檚 Zanu PF and the Citizens Coalition for Change of Nelson Chamisa are seen as the frontrunners.

Zimbabweans will go to the polls at a time when hyperinflation pushes up the prices of basic necessities.

So, what changes can the elections bring, especially considering Zanu PF's 43 year rule?
