Ukraine celebrated by Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms
As part of this year's Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is performing a special piece very close to its conductor's heart.
'Concerto for Orchestra Number 1 - Musical Gift to Kiev' was written by Ivan Karabits - the late father of the BSO's Chief Conductor Kirill Karabits.
Kirill's been telling us what it means for the orchestra to be performing such a poignant piece.
