What If Tottenham’s Lasagna-gate never happened in 2006?
Specs Gonzalez is joined by special guests Tego and Craig Mitch to explore how the world would have changed if Tottenham’s Lasagna-gate had never happened in 2006.
On the last day of the season in 2006, Tottenham needed a win at West Ham to secure Champions League football. They were all set to qualify until late on Saturday night when ten players became seriously ill after having dinner at their hotel. Tottenham's request to postpone the game was rejected so the match went ahead. It was clear Spurs were not 100% and they went on to lose 2-1 and finish 5th, losing the last Champions League place to rivals Arsenal. Specs Gonzalez is joined by co-host Tego Siegel and Tottenham fan Craig Mitch to ask the question - 'What If Tottenham's Lasagna-Gate had never happened?' Would they have qualified for the Champions League? Would this have turned the club into title challengers? Does Daniel Levy go big in the transfer market? What would have happened to Arsenal? As always Specs has all the answers inside the world of his imagination.
