Episode 1
Four designers take on fashion challenges inspired by the remarkable story of the Herdman family in Sion Mills and their contribution to the linen industry in Ulster and beyond.
A Stitch Through Time returns for a second series, presented by Claire McCollum. Four of Northern Irelandβs best emerging fashion designers take on sustainability and design-based challenges, against the clock, inspired by Ulsterβs rich textiles heritage. Each week, top designers Katie Larmour and Una Rodden decide who has what it takes as the young fashionistas try to prove they can cut it in the demanding world of couture.
The first episode is inspired by the Herdman family of Sion Mills, who had a vision of creating a model village and achieved it against all odds. The first challenge tasks the designers with making an apron from pre-loved linen garments, while in the six hour challenge, the designers must create a βsunday bestβ look from linen.
