Dua is joined by the lawyer, civil rights leader, and founder of the Equal Justice Initiative, Bryan Stevenson, whose dedication to the poor, the incarcerated and the condemned once led Archbishop Desmond Tutu to call him βAmericaβs young Nelson Mandela.β In 2018, Bryan also founded the Legacy Museum and the National Monument for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, Alabama, two national landmarks that chronicle the countryβs evolution through slavery, the Jim Crow era and lynching to todayβs epidemic of mass incarceration and racial injustice. Their conversation touches upon themes of injustice, poverty, racism and apartheid.
