Jolien Boumkwo: Shot putter turned stand-in hurdler
Belgian shot putter Jolien Boumkwo was an unexpected entrant into the women's 100m hurdles as she stepped in to replace an injured team-mate at the European Athletics Team Championships.
Boumkwo finished seventh in her usual shot put event before taking to the track to gain an important point for Belgium in the hurdles at the international competition in Poland.
She spoke to Sport Todayβs Ed Harry about the experience and how she ended up on the hurdles start line.
