Brisa Hennessy on her silent battle with illness
Costa Rican surfer Brisa Hennessy believes the health challenges she’s been battling over the last 18 months have given her a greater understanding of who she is. Hennessy has a benign tumour on her brain and has struggled with brain fog, depression, lethargy and heart palpitations. Despite all of that, she has managed to qualify for the Paris Olympics.
