More people lose their life to brain tumours than any other cancer – with brain tumours being the most common solid tumour to develop in children.

For Gillingham’s Will Alexander, these statistics became reality after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2020, at just nine years of age.

Backed by North Dorset Rugby Club, where he played before his diagnosis, he set out to raise as much money as possible to help find a cure. This led to him winning The Brain Tumour Charity's 'Young Fundraiser of the Year Award'.

Will, alongside his dad Neil Alexander, told Steve Harris all about it.
