The Rental Crunch - "It's split up our family"

For the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Rental Health week, one family tells its story of being separated by the rental crunch.

The number of homes available to rent has fallen by a third since the pandemic. It’s one of the reasons tenants are facing an 11% price hike when they sign up for new properties.

Exclusive figures from property website Zoopla shared with the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, say lettings agencies currently have an average of 10 homes advertised for rent, rather than 16 per agency before the pandemic.
