Our car was stolen while I was in labour

Caroline and David from Rugby had their car stolen, whilst on the labour ward.

Caroline and David from Rugby headed to hospital, as their first child was on its way.
However, the whole situation became more stressful when, during labour, their car was stolen.
Caroline was giving birth at UHCW in Coventry, when the car was taken from the car park.
She spoke to Vic Minett, who asked what happened on that day.

A spokesman for University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust said: β€œThe safety of our patients and staff is paramount.
β€œThe Trust has CCTV cameras on all car parks and works closely with the local policing team in investigating crimes such as this one and offering prevention advice. Security officers monitor our car parks 24 hours a day, seven days a week and we have further stepped up the number of patrols following this incident. We would continue to ask all staff and visitors to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to our security team.”

West Midlands Police said: "We were called after a car was stolen from Clifford Bridge Road, Coventry, sometime between 3-7.30pm on 1 February.
CCTV possibilities are being reviewed to try and identify who was responsible. Anyone with information is asked to contact us via Live Chat on our website and quote 20/131476/23."
