Changing faces: 3D metal implants are uplifting patients with deformities

33-year-old Princess Moshoana’s face was badly deformed after car jackers shot her on the jaw. Fortunately, a 3D metal implant treatment restored her face. This is a patient-specific bone implant based on a patient's own features where their CT scan results in 3D printed implants that work just like real bone. The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Brenda Cheruiyot reports.
