Multiple sclerosis in Zambia
Multiple sclerosis or MS, is a lifelong autoimmune condition that can sometimes cause mild to serious disability to a patient diagnosed with the disease. However, misdiagnosis or the lack of awareness about MS especially in sub-Saharan Africa continues the misconception that the disease does not exist. The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Millicent Akeyo met two Zambians; Mainala Phiri and Muchimba Kabeta, who both share their personal experiences living with disease in Zambia.
