β€˜I don’t think heaven is ready for Deborah James’

Cancer awareness campaigner Errol McKellar reflects on the legacy left by fellow campaigner Deborah James.

The You, Me and the Big C podcast presenter died with bowel cancer at the age of 40 in 2022, she fundraised Β£7.4m for charity in her final weeks and received a damehood in a special ceremony at her parents' home.

Speaking at a special live recording of the podcast, Errol says he β€œcried” when he heard of her death.

β€œWe had an angel down here,” he says, β€œGod has now got his angel back… I don’t think they’re ready for her up there.”
