Teachers On Strike - a guide for parents

At least 100,000 members of the union, the NEU, are expected to walk out in England and Wales over the coming weeks. So, how will your child be affected by the teachers' strike?

The National Education Union says 23,000 schools in England and Wales could be affected as 100,000 teachers begin strike action in a row about pay. Seven walk outs are planned in February and March, starting with a national strike on 1st February. Many parents may need to take time off work, or arrange childcare, if their children's school closes. So what will happen if your child's teacher strikes?
