Michelle Williams on the messiness of parenting and playing Steven Spielberg’s mum
Anita Rani spoke to Hollywood actor Michelle Williams on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour this week.
Michelle began her career aged 16 in the TV drama Dawson’s Creek. Now, at 42, the award-winning actor is playing a version of Steven Spielberg’s mum in his semi-autobiographical new film The Fabelmans.

Anita sat down with Michelle to chat about the film and how Steven Spielberg’s mum has inspired her own parenting. Michelle is a mum to a baby, a toddler and a teenager.
You can listen to Michelle’s interview with Anita in full by heading to Â鶹ԼÅÄ Sounds - it’s the Woman’s Hour episode from 20 January.
