World Cup 2022: 'Lionel Messi is the best player of the last 20 years'
Argentinian sports journalist Angela Lerena discusses Lionel Messi's Argentina legacy.
Argentina captain Lionel Messi has announced that the 2022 final will be the last World Cup game of his career.
The 35-year-old forward scored his fifth goal of Qatar 2022 and helped set up two others in Tuesday's 3-0 semi-final win over Croatia.
Playing in his fifth World Cup, Messi has never won the game's biggest prize but Lerena told the Â鶹ԼÅÄ World Service's Isaac Fanin that naming the 35-year-old as captain had "freed him."
