World Cup 2022: 'Some were forced to bin their rainbow hats'
Multiple stories have emerged of football fans at the Qatar World Cup being told to remove clothing items bearing rainbow colours - the universal symbol of LGBTQ+ support.
The football governing body FIFA had said that rainbow clothing would be allowed in the stadiums, but the incidents raise questions about whether that is being applied on the ground.
Outside Source has spoken to two people who had a hard time for wearing the rainbow flag at football matches in Qatar: Laura McAllister, a former Wales captain, and Justin Martin, a long-time Doha resident originally from the US.
