Geena Davis: ‘Thelma & Louise were women who took control of their fate to the bitter end’
Actor Geena Davis, who played the iconic role of Thelma in Thelma & Louise, joined Jessica Creighton in the Woman’s Hour studio on Tuesday.
She described how her co-star Susan Sarandon changed her life, spoke about her experience reading lines with ‘The Blonde One’ (aka Brad Pitt) and how the film taught her to say what she really thinks.
Geena also discussed calling herself a feminist in the 1990s, how playing roles of badass women rubbed off on her own life, and her new book, Dying of Politeness: A Memoir.
