Wild Woodbury: rewilding project sees nine-fold increase in skylarks in first six months
A year into Dorset Wildlife Trust's Wild Woodbury community rewilding project at Bere Regis and the transformation witnessed on site has been ''astonishing'', according to Rewilding Ranger, Seb Haggett. Surveys have recorded an uplift in the biodiversity and abundance of species moving onto the former farmland, including a sharp rise in the number of singing skylarks spotted within the first six months of the project launching.
