Episode 8
Christina and Will help sort through the contents of a childhood home. Rare books attract bids at auction, and a restored tea caddy finds a new home.
Christina Trevanion and Will Kirk travel to Berkshire to help Tony and Kerry Cradock sort through the contents of Tony’s childhood home.
Every corner of their three-bedroom semi and several garden sheds are crammed with boxes full of crockery, jewellery, clocks, watches, books and magazines waiting to be discovered and valued. All of them belonged to Tony’s adoptive parents, who recently passed away.
Christina has high hopes for a set of mid-Victorian books with hand-painted wildlife illustrations, and Will finds a 200-year-old tea caddy that's much in need of restoration. A rusty old garden bench gets sent for repair at a forge, and items of sentimental value are destined for new homes, including a tiny chair made for Tony when he was a boy.
At auction in Henley-on-Thames, we see whether Kerry and Tony’s boat comes in as Christina fields bids from those gathered and others logging in around the world.
