How hospitals are planning for winter pressures
New figures from NHS England show the waiting list for routine treatments has hit a record high of seven million people. Ministers have warned it may not be until spring 2024 that the backlog begins to fall.Β It's adding to the pressure the region's hospitals are facing - as they prepare for winter.
