Alex Scott: ‘It’s lit a fire in me. I will do all I can to help women in this position'
Broadcaster and former Lioness Alex Scott has described the helplessness she felt when faced with violence growing up, but says she wants to use her platform to create change.
She joined Emma Barnett in the studio on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour to speak about how she felt when she saw her Dad’s comments in the Daily Mail, hitting back at her claims. Plus, she shared her decision to donate any proceeds from her new memoir ‘How (Not) to Be Strong’ to women’s charities.
Her father has denied ever having been violent, however he does acknowledge that he was strict. He said: 'I was never violent, that's just not me. I never beat Alex or anyone else in the family or did anything like that.'
You can listen to the full interview on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Sounds, in the Woman’s Hour podcast from 4 October.
