Dorset's photographer's photo used in Queen's death announcement
Buckingham Palace used a photo taken by a Dorset photographer named Jane Bown to announce Queen Elizabth II's death.
She took the photo for the Queens eightieth birthday.
Jane began her career as a professional photographer in the 1940s, working for The Observer newspaper from 1949. She passed away in 2014 aged 89.
Andrew Billen worked with Jane at The Observer, and recalls the story of how she came to photograph the Queen.
