What can the words you use tell you about your family’s culture and heritage?
For many Ugandan Asians living in Britain today, there are Swahili words in their vocabulary which reflect their East African story. Rupal takes a look at how identity and the journey of Uganda Asians has continued through language.
In the discussion we hear from a former presenter of the Six O'clock Show which was local Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ radio's first South Asian radio programme broadcast in English and launched in 1976.
This is a six-part series originally broadcast on local Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ radio.
