The One on Pride House Birmingham

Neil Basterfield and Stacey Francis-Bayman join us to celebrate Pride House Birmingham!

If you're anything like me, you probably loved watching the Commonwealth Games over the past couple of weeks.

And if you were lucky enough to be in Birmingham for the event, you may well have paid a visit to Pride House Birmingham - which has been putting on events, talks and seminars throughout the entirety of the Games.

We wanted to reflect on what the space meant to the people behind it, as well as to those who visited – and we’ve found two terrific guests to have a conversation about that and so much more.

Neil Basterfield is the co-founder of Pride House Birmingham, and England netball legend Stacey Francis-Bayman was a Pride House Ambassador for the Games – and this conversation brings them both together to talk visibility, the importance of LGBTQ+ venues at sporting events, allyship and so much more.

It’s a fitting tribute to the work done by everyone who made Pride House a success, and we’re massively grateful to Neil and Stacey for making the time to join us for it.
