The BAFTA award winning series returns, turning its attention to the North East region as it struggles to bounce back after facing one of the toughest times in its history. The series captures in forensic detail and in real-time the shifts of the call-handlers and ambulance dispatchers, as they make their decisions on who should get care and when, in the highly pressurised environment of the control room. Cameras then follow the crews as they race to save lives on the ground, witnessing the treatment patients receive and giving them space to tell the real story of the emergencies they experience.
