Its central bank said it was raising the rate by half a percentage point

The US central bank, the Federal Reserve, has raised interest rates by 0.5% in a bid to combat rising inflation, which is currently running at 8.5%. We get analysis from our north America business correspondent Michelle Fleury. And Susan Schmidt of Aviva Investors in Chicago tells us how investors reacted to the Fed's announcement.
