Boris Becker - from boom to bust and time behind bars

The three-time Wimbledon champion has been jailed for flouting the terms of his bankruptcy by hiding Β£2.5million worth of assets and loans to avoid paying his debts.

The three-times Wimbledon champion Boris Becker has been given a prison term of two years and six months for hiding millions of pounds in assets after being declared bankrupt. The 54 year old had been accused of trying to avoid paying his debts, including by hiding two of his tennis trophies. It's estimated his 38-million pounds in career earnings was largely spent on a divorce settlement, child maintenance payments and what Becker himself called, "expensive lifestyle commitments". The judge at Southwark Crown Court in London said he had no humility throughout the proceedings. Our Tennis Correspondent, Russell Fuller, has followed the ups and downs of Becker's career - on and off the court. This is 5 Minutes on - Boris Becker - boom, bust and now jail for the former grand slam tennis champion.
