Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ CWR’s found that Leamington’s so called Mega Lab has delivered less than half of the jobs promised when it was announced 18 months ago.
The Rosalind Franklin lab opened in June 2021 and was meant to create up to 2,000 jobs doing up to 300,000 coronavirus tests a day.
But figures from a Freedom of Information request show 823 people were employed there by January of this year.
It comes as a report in the Independent Newspaper claims the lab has cost 1 point 1 billion pounds - double it’s original budget.
The UKHSA - who oversee the site say they don’t recognise those figures.
